It has been a pleasure and a privilege to know Barbara and Alan Evans. During the recent Woodhaven Park annual meeting/picnic our friends/neighbors, and pillars of our Woodhaven Park community were presented with a lovely going away cake. They moved into Woodhaven Park 44 years ago and with support of their loving family are moving into a new phase in their lives.

As the weekend approaches, once again the weather is not looking good for a meeting/picnic on Sun....looks like it is going to rain most of the day. Due to this, we have decided to move the Woodhaven Annual Meeting to Sunday September 30th, weather permitting. Thanks again for your understanding, hopefully we'll get better weather that weekend.
It’s that time again……

Greetings Woodhaven Neighbors,
Our neighbors, the Clements’, are planning to have a yard sale on Saturday,
June 24th in the morning. A number of people have been asking about dates for a community yard sale; therefore, this is a great opportunity to piggyback off their date and drive more traffic and potential buyers into our neighborhood As you know, yard sales are a good way to get rid of items you no longer want or need and make a few dollars, too. A community yard sale -- with more promotional efforts – is an excellent idea to generate more interest and more business. Therefore, Charlotte Clements has volunteered to place notices on-line and in print, and Carroll will place signage at the entrance of Woodhaven Park.
I thank the Clements’ for taking this initiative and encourage as many homeowners to participate, as you see fit. In addition, any efforts you may be able to contribute to let your neighbors and friends know about this event are most appreciated.

Re June 24th Yard Sale
As some of you may know, Kelley's brother, Bill Castro, moved in with them a few months ago in order for Kelley to be his caregiver. Bill had terminal liver cancer and died on November 27th.
A memorial service is planned for Bill on December 11th at the New Life Church. Attached is a copy of the obituary that will be published in the Maryland Independent on Wednesday.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Attached are two documents for your information and use:
1) the annual picnic/meeting flyer, and
2) the proxy form.
Yes, it’s that time again and the Floberg’s are hosting the annual event at their home (7467 Woodhaven Drive). We look forward to seeing and visiting our neighbors on Sunday, September 13th. We’ll begin with the pot-luck picnic at 4 p.m. with the business meeting and election of officers around 5:00.
Anyone who may be interested in volunteering to serve as an officer (President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer) should contact a member of the nominations committee:
· Alan Evans,
· Charlotte Clements, or
· Millie Havrilla
to express your intentions.
If your schedule does not permit you to attend the meeting I ask that you complete the attached proxy form and deliver it to me, or our secretary, Joy Chapman, or another officer at your earliest convenience.
It is important that you participate, either in person or by proxy, to ensure that the association may conduct business on behalf of our community.
And, on a final note, the new treasurer will be collecting annual dues at the meeting – and if you haven’t paid your dues for 2015 there is still time. Dues – which pays for street lights in the park and other expenses – are only $15 per household per year. If you’re unsure whether or not you’re in good standing, please call Charlotte Clements (301-934-9444).
Thank you for allowing me to serve you the past two years and I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!

If you are interested in being a part and benefiting from the increased traffic and prospective customers, be sure to put your usable items out and take advantage of the opportunity.
Another Woodhaven family has planned a yard sale for the next Saturday as well, so please keep that in mind as well.
